COMMERCIAL GAS PIPEWORK INSTALLATION CASE STUDY

Client: Yorkshire Plumbing & Heating Services (YPHS), on behalf of Chesterfield Hospital
YPHS and Chesterfield Hospital have trusted Ormond Pipework for our services in commercial & industrial gas pipework.
The problem:
Chesterfield Hospital acquired two new gas fed industrial boilers.
To supply the boilers, new gas pipework installation was required.
Ormond were brought in install underground MDPE, steel pipe and a gas sub meter.
Our solution:
Ormond first under pressure drilled the existing underground MDPE in order to form a new branch.
3” MDPE was then installed up to the new commercial gas sub meter.
Steel pipework was fabricated to a Gas Safe standard, from the sub meter to the boilers.
A successful gas tightness test was performed on the new pipework.
Ormond then did a direct gas purge and issued a commercial Gas Safe certificate to the client.

- Hot tapping / under pressure drilling
- Underground MDPE commercial pipework
- Steel pipework fabrication
- Commercial Gas sub meter
- Gas purging
- Gas tightness test
- Gas pipework commissioning
- Gas Safe certificate
