The client is a manufacturer of cosmetic products and requires industrial pipework to supply their machinery.
A ten-meter section of 1” steam pipe and valves had to be amended due to new capital being installed.
Our commercial pipework engineers installed a new 1” mild steel installation using threaded wrought iron fittings and heavy gauge pipe.
The project involved Steam pipework installations running at high pressure and temperature. To complete the works, we were required to:
Isolate the steam system by shutting off appropriate valves
Dismantle existing installation
Configure new pipework using wrought iron fittings and valves suitable for steam
Working within a clean environment requires an awareness of contamination and wearing the correct PPE such as hair nets
Due to the harsh demands of steam systems, Ormond applied Stag B to form a heat and pressure resistant seal on the joints.
